Program Philosophy: The Montessori Day School (MDS) honors the uniqueness of each child and recognizes the crucial stages of development of children during the preschool years. It is Montessori Day School’s mission to provide children with a joyful, fun, and nurturing experience while preparing them for future academic success and a life-long appreciation of discovery and learning. MDS offers a rich curriculum based on traditional Montessori philosophy and practices as well as supplementary programs including nature exploration, arts focus, Music Together, Spanish, yoga, community service, and more. Experienced teachers introduce children to meaningful activities that support their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Home-school communication is valued and teachers strive to cultivate a partnership with parents/guardians. Parents have many ways they may choose to be involved at MDS.
